Panic as poison fish find way to market

Nairobi - Residents of Nyatike in Migori county are worried lot.
This is after suspicion of poisoned fish find their way to the market.
It is suspected that rogue fishermen are using poison to catch fish.
One of the victims is the area chief who was admitted and diagnosed. It is unlawful to use poison to kill fish. Poisoning not only kill fish but also affect the consumers.
In recent past Lake Victoria has been affected by over fishing leading to decline in fish population.
Some rogue fisherman have resorted to using illegal methods to get catch.
They are either using illegal fishing nets or other poison.
The residents now wants the the police to liase with the chairmen of various beaches to curb and arrest the perpetrators.
