Nairobi - An ambulance was involved in an accident along Nairobi's Langata Road while using the wrong side of the road.
The ambulance driver was using the wrong side of the road while heading towards the city centre with traffic at a standstill on the other side of the road.
According to witnesses, the ambulance was moving at close to 100 Kph when the oncoming vehicle refused to give way and they ended up in a head on collision.
Both drivers received minor injuries.
Policemen at the scene had a difficult time trying to calm down the driver of the Suzuki who was angered by the actions of the ambulance driver who refused to slow down despite driving on the wrong side of the road.
" The ambulance was using the wrong side of the road to avoid traffic but ended up colliding with the vehicle. Gladly no one is injured," traffic police superintendent for Langata John Kimaru said.
Both vehicles were towed to the Lang'ata Police station.
