Outrage as Nakuru County Assembly transacts business in record 1 minute 57 seconds
31 August 2016, 10:42
Nairobi - Nakuru County Assembly on Tuesday transacted business of the day in a record 1 m 57 seconds which has created anger among residents who term the assembly as a way of pocketing allowances only and not to represent the grievances of the county.
The incident caused outrage amongst residents who threatened Members of County Assembly with the sack come the 2017 elections.
" We need an assembly that transacts business fully and not just going to the chambers to pray and leave the house," said Kelvin Waweru a Nakuru MCA aspirant.
The incident did not amuse Governor Kinuthia Mbugua who said he would release a comprehensive statement on the matter Wednesday afternoon.
