Nairobi - Cord coalition on Saturday said there will be countrywide protests on Monday to demanding the sacking of the current IEBC commissioners.
“On Monday, we will hold demonstrations all over to ensure that IEBC goes home. We cannot go to elections with the same team,” Ruaraka MP TJ Kajwang said.
Kajwang was speaking during a home coming ceremony of Kajiado Central MP, Elijah Memusi attended by Cord leaders Raila Odinga, Moses Wetang'ula and Kalonzo Musyoka.
Raila has threatened that Cord will boycott the next elections if it will be supervised by the current commissioners.
The opposition is accusing the IEBC of being a government puppet saying it cannot oversee a free and fair election.
The Jubilee government has however refuted the claims.
