Nakuru - As a way of making it a purely thanksgiving and prayer rally, the organising committee of the Saturday Afraha rally has said that only the former Ocampo six suspects and the clergy will be allowed to speak at the function.
According to Nakuru TNA chairman Harrison Muiruri, the move is aimed at locking out politicians from turning the thanksgiving into a political rally.
Speaking Tuesday during a consultative meeting, Muiruri said that no politicians will be allowed to address the public apart from the president, his deputy and the Nakuru Governor who will be the host.
Muiruri added that the function will be dedicated to the former Ocampo six and the clergy.

"It should be made clear that the Saturday rally will not be political. It will purely be a prayer rally and we will not allow politicians to take to the podium," he said.
"The people who will address the rally will be the President, his deputy and their former co-accused at the ICC," he added.
"The Governor will also be allowed to speak because he is the host but no other politicians will talk that day," he said.
