Nairobi - An ODM official has promised CORD leader Raila Odinga one million votes in the 2017 elections.
George Aladwa, who is the ODM Nairobi Branch chairman says that he is certain he will deliver Raila over 1 million votes come the polls next year.
He says that he has given himself that target to help boost Raila's kitty during the polls.
Saying that Nairobi voted very well for Raila last time in the 2013 polls, 2017 will be a different but successful challenge.
" 2017 will be challenging but there is nothing impossible. We are ready to campaign for Raila and ensure he is in State House come 2017," he told News24.
He called on all ODM Nairobi Branch members to ensure that they give their all in ensuring that the target is met.
" In 2013, we scored 700,000 votes. I expect that to be over 1 million in 2017 and the ball is in our court to ensure that it is met," he added.
Raila is looking to unseat incumbent President Uhuru Kenyatta in the August 8 2017 polls.
