ODM MPs meet in secret meeting to discuss exit

24 June 2016, 15:10 William Korir

Nairobi - ODM MPs have met at a Nairobi hotel in a meeting designed to chart their exit from the orange party.

The MPs, who are from western Kenya are seeking to leave ODM and start their own political wing to challenge the orange party as well as provide a platform for Luhya people to have their own political interests.

They are led by Budalang'i MP Ababu Namwamba.

They met at a hotel in Nairobi Thursday evening and will meet again in the coming weeks to seek a way forward.

" The MPs met and discussed their next move after ODM," a source close to the meeting told News24.

The MPs included Paul Otuoma and John Waluke who are known to be fed up with ODM.

Ababu was nowhere to be seen.

" Ababu was not there but no doubt he is abreast with every resolution," the source added.

The MPs are said to be fed up with ODM and that they are undermined by the leadership at every opportunity and want out.
