Nairobi - An ODM MP has promised President Uhuru Kenyatta 1 million votes come the 2017 elections.
Kilifi North MP Gideon Mung'aro, who is the defacto Jubilee Coalition leader in the Coastal region says that he will mobilise Coastal residents to vote en masse for the President.
He says that with Coastal residents keen on taking up voter registration in anticipation of the polls, he is going to do his best to get the votes for the Jubilee Coalition.
" Why can we not get 1 million votes for the President? The people of the Coastal region are tired of the opposition which has let them down and they want change," he told News24 on phone.
Mung'aro says that the tide of change has arrived in the region.
" Change is with us now and it is coming. You can see leaders from all over the region moving to the Jubilee Coalition. It is now," he added.
Mung'aro has fallen out with CORD leader Raila Odinga and says that he is now fully a member of the Jubilee Coalition and will defend his seat come 2017 on the Jubilee Party ranks.
