Nairobi - An MP from the Orange Democratic Movement ODM has openly supported Devolution CS Anne Waiguru, saying that she is being framed and haunted by unknown forces.
Stephen Kariuki of Mathare says that he supports Waiguru and says there is a witch-hunt to have her kicked out of office.
" I support her and I know that she is innocent," he said at the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commision EACC offices in Nairobi Tuesday.
Kariuki said that he does not fear the wrath of ODM since he was elected to serve the interests of people and that differing opinions are also allowed within the Orange party.
" I am an ODM politician. That does not change but on this matter I will take a differing opinion," he stated.
Waiguru is under pressure over continued corruption in her ministry.
MPs have brought about a motion seeking to have her removed from office over the alleged loss of as much as KES 3 billion from the ministry coffers.
