Nairobi - A brief scuffle ensued outside a media house in Nairobi after an MP was arrested by police over hate speech charges.
Suna East MP, Junet Mohammed was Tuesday dramatically arrested by heavily armed flying squad police officers outside Nation Centre in Nairobi CBD, moments after appearing in a live TV show.
Junet is among three ODM MPs who have been summoned by police to record statement over inciting remarks they allegedly made at a press briefing on Monday.
Apart from Junet, other MPs from the opposition who were summoned to record statement at the CID include Timothy Bosire (Kitutu Masaba) and Aisha Jumwa (Kilifi).

Interestingly, this was hours after the three opposition MPs at a press briefing called for the arrest of their colleagues Moses Kuria (Gatundu South), Ferdinand Waititu (Kabete) and Kimani Ngunjiri (Bahati).
The ODM lawmakers gave the police 24 hours to arrest the trio. It is at the press briefing that they allegedly spewed hate speech.
Journalists were treated to free drama after Junet's lawyer, Siaya Senator James Orengo protested against the MPs being carried on the police vehicle.
The vocal Senator had his way and drove the lawmaker to the CID headquarters on his own vehicle.
