Nairobi - Likoni MP Masoud Mwahima has denied claims that he was bribed by President Uhuru Kenyatta after being seen leaving State House Mombasa with a brown envelope.
The Orange Democratic Movement ODM MP has been accused of being given money by the President after photos of him leaving State House Mombasa, with a brown envelope circulated on social media.
He was accused by ODM supporters of being a government mole but in an interview on phone with News24, he stated that the rumours were just that; rumours.
" They are just rumours and stories created by my detractors. I have done nothing wrong. I went there to present certificates of my constituents to the President to help them get jobs," he insisted.
" Those with other stories are out to make merry in a non-existent situation," he added.
Mwahima has also stated that he is still in ODM to stay.
" I am in ODM. That has not changed any bit," he added.
Mwahima has previously been accused of warming up to the Jubilee coalition, claims he has vehemently refused.
