Nairobi - Turkana County Governor Josephat Nanok has accused his Deputy Peter Ekai of teaming up with his political enemies to undermine his leadership.
Speaking in Kalokol, Governor Nanok confirmed falling out with Mr Ekai after the latter’s decision to work with the Jubilee camp in a plot to unseat him in 2017.
“My Deputy, whom you the people of Central gave me, has teamed up with the legislators who have been fighting me and that is why you don’t see him here today,” said Nanok.
Governor Nanok said Mr Ekai was part of a team which has vowed to unseat him in 2017 and are claimed there was a plot to use dubious means including stealing of votes to oust him.
He said for three years now, they have not been in good terms with the Senator and six MPs from the county, but will not be cowed by their evil plans against him.
The County boss however commended Turkana Central MP John Nakara Lodepe for being the only legislator who has been closely working with him.
