Nyahururu’s 206 Results Cancelled

Nyandaru - Over 200 hundred students of Nyahururu high school in Nyandarua County had their 2015 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results cancelled.
Only one, out of the 207 candidates received their results, with a suspicion that the rest of the students colluded in the Chemistry paper.
The only student who received his results was the weakest and scored the least of the candidates.

Nyandarua County Director of Education (CDE), Ms. Mary Gaturu, while regretting the incident said the official were keen on supervision within the county and hoped it would not be repeated.
“We have passed the information to the school and we are commencing investigations next week to get to the root of exactly what happened,” Gaturu said.
She said a total of 237 students had their results cancelled across the county with Weru secondary in Nyandarua West sub county having the results for 13 candidates, cancelled.
“Twenty one students of Kiheo secondary also in Nyandarua West, one from Miharati secondary in Kipipiri Sub County and one from Kimuri secondary in Nyandarua South, were also affected.
The school, which is located in Laikipia County but registered in Nyandarua County, has its alumnae among the top politicians in the region including Ndaragwa MP. Waweru Nderitu.
