Nairobi - Blood has been spilt in the media world
after Nation Media’s Larry Madowo openly attacked the CEO of the Kenya Film
Classification Board, calling his a classic narcissist.
What started as a
simple shouting match has now escalated into full on war, with both sides
taking shots at each other. The reason why KFCB’s CEO has been in the limelight
is because of some of the decision that have been made the past few weeks,
banning a CocaCola Advert due to a kissing scene. This sparked a riot on social
media, many pointing out that there are soap opera that do far much worse that
are being aired on national TV.
Larry took a few good shots at the Mr.
Ezekiel Mutua in his blog post for the Daily Nation, claiming that he had taken
the job to extend his personal brand.
He wrote “Yet every time he opens his
mouth to make a statement, most sensible people cover their faces with their
hands in utter embarrassment. He often appears to be passing off outdated ideas
with the conviction of a priest and the naivety of a three-year-old.”
