Nonini the Philanthropist

nairobi - The Kenyan music industry has reached the
point where the pioneers like Nonini are in a position to make a difference in
society outside their music.
The king of Genge has shown the philanthropic side
of himself, donating 50,000 towards the medical bill for Abdi Rashid, a Muslim
man who was shot while trying to shield Christians from hate fueled terrorists
in an attack in Garissa.
The donations received through the ItsBig
Campaign will be spent on upkeep for the local hero during his recovery.
has also been at the forefront of charity efforts from the entertainment
industry through the EFC (Entertainment for Charity).
The EFC hosts basketball
tournaments aimed at raising funds for different causes ranging from taking
care of orphans to food donations.
