Nairobi - New Cabinet Secretaries and appointees to various public positions have been sworn in at State House Nairobi.
The 26 nominees to various positions in the government's ministries were sworn in Friday morning at State House after they were all approved for their positions by Parliament on Thursday.
The 26 include 7 nominees to the position of Cabinet Secretary.
This follows the nomination and approval of Charles Keter (Energy), Dan Kazungu (Mining), Mwangi Kiunjuri (Devolution and Planning), Cleopa Mailu (Health), Willy Bett (Agriculture), Joseph Mucheru (ICT) and Sicily Kariuki (Public Service) as Cabinet Secretaries.
They have assumed office after the previous CS' were accused of corruption and graft and suspended.
The CS' were sworn in by Attorney General Githu Muigai in a ceremony keenly watched by President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto.
