Nairobi - I have no regrets quitting CORD for Jubilee, an MP has said.
Masoud Mwahima the Likoni MP says that he is happy to have taken the decision to quit CORD for the Jubilee Coalition, saying that he has made a decision he will not regret.
He says that being in CORD was a lost cause and that he is happy to make the bold move to Jubilee.
" I am happy to be in Jubilee and so strive to do better when in this new party," he told News24.
He says that threats that he will not be able to defend his seat come the 2017 elections will be known come ballot day.
" The people will speak. There is no time for accusations and counter accusations. Let the people speak," he added.
He said that he had made the bold move thanks to the people of Likoni asking him to do so.
" This is not Mwahima alone. It is the people of Likoni who want change and I will deliver it to them," he added.
Mwahima together with 6 other prominent leaders in the Coastal region have stated that they will support the Jubilee Coalition come the 2017 elections.
