No need for arrogance, CORD MP tells Raila

Nairobi - A CORD MP has backed FORD Kenya leader Moses Wetang'ula for the Presidency come the 2017 elections.
Tongaren MP Simiyu Eseli says that every leader in the CORD Coalition must be allowed the chance to campaign and offer themselves for the Presidency.
He says that talk that ODM leader Raila Odinga is the flag bearer for the coalition at this moment is misplaced.
The MP insists that there will be a thorough process of identifying who will lead the coalition in the elections and that it must be respected.
" There is no CORD flag bearer at the moment and there is no need fr insults and arrogance. There are three principals who have expressed their interest in that role and it must and should be respected," he stated.
He added that the road map to choosing the CORD flag bearer would be decided upon in the coming weeks.
" The nominations will be done in February and as every principal has said so far, there will be an open process in deciding who takes the lead role," he added.
He also defended Wetangula's comments urging Raila to set aside his ambitions for others.
" Everyone has a right to speak on what they believe and the FORD Kenya leader too has his own feelings over the Presidency," he added.
Wetang'ula is set for a countrywide tour in August as he aims to shore up his ambitions of becoming the CORD flag bearer.
