Nairobi - Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria says that parliament must speed
up the shifting on of IEBC bosses to not allow room for excuses come the 2017
He says that the Justice and
Legal Affairs Committee should speed up dealing with a petition on the removal
of IEBC bosses.
According to him, the work of the
joint select committee does not stop Parliament’s work and must thus proceed
“The justice committee should
move with speed in dealing with the petition and if they find them guilty, they
should go home because the setting up of the select committee, whose names will
be tabled in Parliament on Tuesday, does not stop the work of Parliament,” he
Kuria says that there is so much
uncertainty in the country which is not good especially heading into an
“Next year is an important year
and we must ensure that we have the structures in place to ensure we are in the
right place,” he added.
