Nairobi - There will be no leave in December for Policemen, Inspector General Joseph Boinett has said.

He also said that at such a crucial time, Kenyans need the protection of the Police force.
" Kenyans need the Police to ensure their safety, especially at this crucial time when festivities are taking place," Boinett said.
He also urged Police officers to educate motorists on the need for safety during the holiday period.
" It is important that we save lives and it will be our role and job and officers of the law to educate Kenyans and punish those that break the law," he added.
He said that the country is on its highest alert level possible as it tries its best to stave off the threat posed by terrorists.
" We are on very high alert. We know that there is movement especially at this festive time so we are on point and on duty," he added.
The IG also as always urged Kenyans to volunteer any information of any possible attack threat or suspicious individuals to Police officers.
