Nkaissery threatens to arrest Kuria over Corruption allegations
10 November 2015, 19:04
Nairobi - Interior CS Joseph Nkaissery says he will not hesitate to have Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria arrested if he does not come clean over allegations KES 3.8 billion has been stolen under his watch.
Nkaissery said Tuesday that the move by Kuria to claim that all those funds were lost amounts to lies and fabrication.
He has thus called on Kuria to record a statement at the Criminal Investigations Department CID immediately.
" I immediately order Honourable Kuria to record a statement over the allegations in-order to shed light on the incident," he stated.
The order comes just a few hours after Daily Nation writer John Ngirachu was arrested over corruption at the Ministry.
The alleged corruption at the Ministry comes in the wake of a report by the Auditor General detailing corruption at the Ministry in a report presented to Parliament's Public Accounts Committee PAC.
