Nkaissery issues 14-day altimatum to cattle rustlers in Samburu to return cattle

Samburu - Interior CS, Joseph Nkaissery has issued a one-week ultimatum to all cattle rustlers in Samburu County to return the cattle they have stolen.
Nkaissery was speaking after heading a two-day meeting with the Samburu County leaders and the National Assembly security committee chair, Osman Kamama at his Harambee house office.
The meeting came amid continued crisis in Samburu County especially in Samburu North sub-County. It is alleged that some politicians have been fuelling the violence.

“We met to with the County leadership, from the Governor to the MCAs and the security committee to deliberate on lasting solutions for peace in Samburu County, and especially in the Samburu North sub-County,” Nkaissery noted.
He has also called upon leaders and security agencies to respond quickly to security related issues in the County. He has also given a mandate to the leaders to hold peace Barazas in various parts of the County citing that the National Intelligence Service is on the ground to follow links on who might have stolen the cattle.
