"The people felt I had betrayed them by joining camp with those who had betrayed former Vice President," said the remorseful Ngilu.

The Narc party alias Mama rainbow said she would have won the seat easily had she not joined the Uhuruto camp.

Before her losing the senatorial seat she had served as an MP for Kitui Central constituency since 1992 elections making her one of the strong forces in the Ukambani politics.

There has always been a perceived supremacy battle between her her and former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka.

Hon Ngilu found herself on the receiving end after she was sacked by President Uhuru over corruption allegation. "I am still in Narc. That's my party.

"She said. Perhaps hinting on her possible divorce with Jubilee. The Jubilee coalition leaders have been pushing for merger of all the small parties into JAP.

Mama Ngilu has also hinted her interest for the Kitui county top Job.

The question however remains whether she will conquer the incumbent and redeem her political glory.
