Nairobi - Seven recently nominated cabinet secretaries will be vetted next week by the Parliamentary Committee on Appointments.
According to a paid advertisement in local dailies by the National assembly Clerk Justin Bundi, the nominees will be grilled by the parliamentary committee on Friday.
Those to be vetted by Committee on Appointment, which is chaired by House Speaker Justin Muturi are Mwangi Kiunjuri (Devolution and Planning), Charles Keter (Energy and Petroleum) and Dan Kazungu (Mining).
“Pursuant to provisions of Article 118 of the Constitution, Section 6(4) the Public Appointments (Parliamentary Approval) Act (No.33 of 2011), the general public is notified that the vetting of the persons appointed as cabinet secretaries will be carried on Friday December 11, 2015 at parliament buildings,” reads the notice by the clerk in part.
