Nairobi - Police bosses in Nairobi have once again been transferred in a bid to reduce crime in the Capital.
All Officers Commanding Stations OCS' in the city have been moved in the changes announced Tuesday.
Benus Keino (Riruta), Francis Muthee Gichuhi (Karen), Joseph Kiplagat Cherotich (Huruma), Christopher Wesonga (Shauri Moyo), Bashir Ali (Kikuyu), Isaac Sirengo (Wilson Airport) and Alphonse Ngundo (Baringo) have been moved in the changes.
Johnson Matoke, Amos Shamalla, Amos Ambasa, Isaac Ewaton and Paterson Lipa have also been moved.
The changes will seek to freshen up the system in the wake of increased crime waves in the city.
" The moves take effect immediately," a memo seen by News24 read in part.
The Capital City has seen a wave of increased violent and gun crimes in the last few months and the changes are meant to ease the incidences.
Just last week, officers in senior ranks such as commanders were moved in changes insiders said were geared towards the upcoming voter registration period.
