Nakuru - NACADA will soon start looking into rehabilitation of sex and computer addicts in the country.
NACADA Chair, John Mututho said that there has been increased demand by residents pleading to be rehabilitated from the two addictions, which he claims are affecting their productivity.
In an exclusive interview at Cathay hotel in Nakuru on Monday, Mututho pointed out that he has been receiving calls from sex addicts seeking to be relieved of the habit.

He cited that NACADA was mandated to look into all addictions, not just drug addiction.
“It is unfortunate that I have been approached by people who tell me they can’t get any sleep if they do not sleep with at least five women in a day. This is a serious problem that needs to be addressed,” he added.
Mututho pointed out that they would offer physiological support to the addicts.
“We intend to create a helpline for the computer addicts and encourage them to go to a rehabilitation center,” he added, pointed out that currently there are 2.6 to 3 million people addicted to either drugs or sex in the country.
He called on the residents not to shun such individuals.
“They should realize that these people are actually seeking and need medical attention instead of pushing them away. Addicts also need love and support and unfortunately we have been denying them that.”
