Mystery of VIP admitted to Nairobi Hospital

Nairobi - A mystery VVIP was admitted to the Nairobi Hospital Wednesday evening with staff at the institution refusing to name the person after threats by Police officers not to.
The VVIP was rushed to the hospital Wednesday evening and put up in the presidential suite of the facility, News24 has been told by hospital staff.
There was heavy security presence during the stay of the VVIP, with flying squad officers and other uniformed ones patrolling the area and allowing only authorised staff access to the wing.
During the duration of the VVIP's stay, the staff were told not to speak on it.
The hospital too has refused to name the VVIP.
" All I can say is that a very important person was brought here and all staff were told to get away from that section of the hospital unless they were required," the staff stated.
The staff member added that senior hospital officials were present when the incident took place.
" It was very secretive. We cannot say who it is because of the hospital rules but it was an important person in Kenya," the member of staff added.
The revelation comes hours after blogger Robert Alai claimed that Deputy President William Ruto had been sent to the hospital after collapsing at his Karen home.
The government has since denied that it was indeed Ruto that was at the hospital.
