My life is in danger, Sonko says

18 March 2016, 19:49 William Korir

Nairobi - Nairobi Senator Mike Mbuvi Sonko says his life is in danger.

The outspoken Senator says that he has received news that his life is being targeted by his political foes who are seeking his life in order to gain political leverage.

He says that since the murder of his bodyguard in cold blood three weeks ago, he has been left disillusioned and unsure of his safety.

" There are those who are after me. They want to finish me but now I know. They will not get their way," he said.

He added that he had moved to get new security to boost his current team.

" I am prepared. My political detractors will not get me," he added, stating that he felt the threats originated from persons who were his competitors politically.

Sonko will vie for the Governor's seat come the 2017 General Elections.
