Museveni blamed for corruption

Kampala - A senior army officer has blamed Museveni for being very soft towards corrupt government officials.
Brigadier Kasirye Gwanga said that president Museveni is a very good leader but added on that he is responsible for the rampart corruption in the country.
Kasirye Gwanga said, ''I support Museveni and advise all Ugandans to support him in the 2016 elections. But I am not happy with the way he has handled the corruption in the country.''
He added that people swindle public funds but nothing is done to them.
''You hear someone has stolen a billion shillings from national coffers and is left scot free. If I was him, I would punish such officials severely,'' said Kasirye Gwanga.
Uganda has in the past few years been named among the most corrupt countries in Africa.Among the most corrupt institutions are the police .
Recent research revealed that medical officers steal all the drugs sent to government hospitals and sell them to those with private clinics or their own private clinics.
