Munya makes a scathing revelation about DP Ruto

Meru - Deputy President William Ruto and I are not friends, Meru Governor Peter Munya has revealed.
The remarks by Munya, who also serves as the Council of Governors chairman, come a few months after he stormed out of an event in Meru County where Ruto was the chief guest.
“Every time he comes to Meru, he tries to push for an agenda that is against me. When he comes to meetings, he comes with people who make remarks that are against me yet I am the Governor of Meru.
“So I wouldn’t say we are very friendly. If I say we are friends then I wouldn’t be speaking the truth,” Munya said in an interview in Nairobi on Sunday.
He maintained that he will not join the Jubilee party and that he will challenge Ruto in the 2022 presidential elections.
“In 2022, I intend to vie for presidency and I am preparing already. I will be launching a new party that I will use to seek re-election next year, and later use it to vie for presidency come 2022. I believe I have what it takes to be elected for that seat and I am busy preparing,” Munya said.
