Meru - Meru Governor, Peter Munya has been accused of dividing Mount Kenya region vote bloc with his bid to vie for Presidency in 2022.
Tigania East MP, Mpuri Aburi said the Governor is over-ambitious and is fighting Jubilee government.
According to Aburi, the Council of Governors chairman will not be re-elected in 2017.
“Munya should know that he will be floored by Senator Kiratu Murungi in 2017. His political future is doomed. He is fighting President Uhuru Kenyatta’s leadership in Mount Kenya and he cannot succeed,” said Aburi.

He urged Munya to vie for Presidency in 2017 to test his national popularity instead of 2022 when Mount Kenya region plans to support Deputy President William Ruto.
Speaking after a church funds drive in Nyeri town, the MP added that current governors should be voted out claiming that ‘they are bossy and behaving like semi-gods’.
“At the counties, governors are moving with sirens to clear roads. Others are demanding red carpets and are very disrespectful to the Presidency,” he stated.
He also raised alarm over misappropriation of public resources and corruption at the devolved units of government.
