‘Mulembe Nation’ is non-existent, Midiwo tells Ababu

Bungoma - Gem MP, Jakoyo Midiwo has said Ababu Namwamba’s so called 'Mulembe Nation' does not exist because all Luhyas want to be Kenyans.
According to Midiwo, Ababu who recently resigned from his position as the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) secretary general should stop issuing statements purporting to speak on behalf of Luhyas.
“Gone are the days of playing tribal politics because everyone wants to be referred to as a Kenyan,” Midiwo said.
Midiwo called on Ababu to stop misleading western region residents because he decided to leave ODM on his own.

“Around Raila there's truth and there's ideology. If you leave, you leave alone,” Midiwo said.
Days after the Budalang’i MP announced that he had resigned from his post in ODM, Deputy President William Ruto claimed that he was headed to the ruling Jubilee coalition.
However, Ababu denied the DP’s claims in a quick rejoinder saying that he had not been paid to join the Jubilee party.
“I am not joining Jubilee. I have no time for them,” he said.
