Mudavadi tells Raila he is ready to work with him, again

17 September 2016, 21:32 Dareel Eric

Nairobi - Amani National Congress party leader Musalia Mudavadi has reached out to Cord counterparts to join hands in ousting Jubilee government from power.

Mudavadi said both Amani and Cord have a common goal of fighting Jubilee out of power and joining hands will enable them form a formidable force.

“Our mission is the same as we want to get Jubilee out of power. If we unite and work together, we shall have laid an onslaught on Jubilee that will send them home as they have lost focus,” said Mudavadi.

He added, “I now therefore appeal to my brothers Raila, Kalonzo and Wetangula that it’s time to stop the talk. You want Jubilee sent packing by 8am on August 8, 2017? We have one weapon against this frightful regime – that weapon is Musalia Mudavadi. We have no time to argue. I am willing, ready and rearing to go.”

While speaking at the burial of former folk artist William Ingosi Mwoshi and later at Kapsotik primary school in Vihiga Senator George Khaniri’s niece Kate Kageha’s requiem mass, Mudavadi noted Jubilee government has shown a certain arrogance that needs to be got rid off.

“Everybody is getting ready for elections. Some are even telling us our job is to smell the aroma and not eat the meat. I felt insulted, totally violated when this was said to my face in Narok. Remember, one time we were called cooks and watchmen,” he told mourners.

He urged the people to wake up and remember Vladmir Lenin once said even a cook can be president.

“Let’s accept that we are not eating any meat, but we smell power; we want power. Let’s all smell power,” he said
