Mudavadi: I have not talked with Raila on joining ODM
19 July 2016, 14:12
Nairobi - Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi has denied allegations made by cord leader Raila Odinga that the two were in talks.
Mudavadi said that he has not talked with Odinga saying that his interest now is for the Luhya community to field a single presidential candidate for the Presidency in the 2017 polls rather than joining coalitions.
"I have not talked with Odinga as he alleged. What I want now is for the Luhya community to field a single presidential candidate in the next elections and that is what ANC aims", he said in a statement.
Raila had on Monday said that he was in talks with the ANC leader in order to join cord ahead of the elections.
"I spoke with Mudavadi and i asked him to join ODM so that we can work together and form the next government", Raila told a rally in Mudavadi's home turf.
