MPs want out of Jubilee days after joining

Nairobi - MPs from the former New Ford Kenya are said to be wanting out of the Jubilee Party just days after joining the ruling outfit.
This, News24 has been told comes thanks to the realisation that they would not get much in terms of clout within the ruling party, following rules placed to share out key party positions.
It is understood that the party wants Eugene Wamalwa to be the Secretary General but that the move has so far been vetoed by the top brass.
NFK wants Wamalwa to be third in line after President Uhuru Kenyatta and DP William Ruto but that so far there has been no guarantee of that.
The Jubilee Party wants to give the Secretary General Position to Kiraitu Murungi, the source stated.
" There is unhappiness in the manner in which the senior positions will be shared, with New Ford Kenya the biggest losers," the source stated.
Kiraitu on his part, told News24 that any positions wold be given on merit.
" The one who brings in more value (i.e votes) will be handed the more senior positions and that is just the reality," he stated.
But New Ford Kenya believes that it was a pre agreed position and will seek the way forward from President Uhuru Kenyatta in the coming weeks.
