Nakuru - A member of Parliament is proposing that all members of Parliament take their oath of office afresh as a way of maintaining sanity in the House.
Tetu MP, Ndung'u Gethenji said that the Speaker of the National Assembly should conduct a fresh swearing in for all members of Parliament saying that it will make them to respect the law of the land.
Speaking Wednesday in Nakuru town, Gethenji said that most MPs are disregarding the constitution they swore to abide by and protect.

"All members of Parliament swore to protect the constitution but what is happening now clearly shows that we are going against the same constitution and this puts the country under threat because the people who should be defending the laws are the same people breaking them,” said Gethenji.
Gethenji warned that democracy and constitutionalism in Kenya are under threat and the best get out of that danger is by reminding elected leaders about the vows they made by swearing them afresh.
