Nairobi - Dagoretti MP Dennis Waweru says that he will take unspecified action if Eugene Wamalwa is brought into the Nairobi Governor's race come the 2017 elections.
Waweru is among a host of leaders seeking the nod from the ruling party to tackle incumbent Governor Evans Kidero come the polls.
Latest to be added to that growing list is Water and Irrigation CS Wamalwa who has been touted as the perfect candidate by Central Kenya Jubilee MPs.
According to Waweru though, it is not right.
" I take exception to the reports of candidates being added to the list for nomination from other regions," he said.
He added that he was ready to battle with the others come the nomination but that it was prudent to have persons who have the city at heart as well as knowledge of the region to aim to represent it.
" I have grown up in Nairobi, lived here and breathe here and will continue to. I have the interests of Nairobians at heart, which is why I am the best candidate for the job," he added.
He said he would consider looking for another vessel to compete if he felt that the nomination process was flawed but stated he will back President Uhuru Kenyatta come 2017.
" We will see. let us hope we do not get there," he added.
Among others chasing the Jubilee ticket are Nairobi Senator Mike Mbuvi Sonko, Waweru, MP Johnstone Sakaja, former MP Margaret Wanjiru and former Devolution CS Anne Waiguru.
