Laikipia - Laikipia East MP, Mutahi Kimaru has told off the Opposition CORD for fighting Jubilee's plan to use the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) in Party nominations.
Kimaru observed that any party was free to conduct nominations the way they want.
Speaking at Nkando during the official opening of classrooms, the legislator said that through IEBC, candidates will be satisfied and as a party they are supporting the move.

He also took issues with how the opposition criticized the merger of Jubilee affiliate parties.
Cord has rubbished the call by Jubilee to have the party nominations done by IEBC as it remains every party’s hurdle during general elections.
Mutahi noted that if he fails to clinch the Jubilee Party ticket during the primaries, he will support whoever emerges the winner.
