MP explains 3 hour meeting that saw him join Jubilee

Nairobi - An MP says that he held three hour talks which sealed his move to the Jubilee Coalition.
Mumias east MP Benjamin Washiali says that it was easy to convince him to join the Jubilee Coalition because he knew that it was his path.
He says that after a meeting with Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi, he told him he was joining Jubilee.
" Joining Jubilee was easy. It is development oriented and forward thinking. I am happy to be a part of the team seeking change in western Kenya," he told News24.
Washiali will be among a number of opposition MPs from the region that have jumped ship to the ruling side.
He says that the move was not hard to turn down.
" Luhya people have grown tired of the same old stories. They are the same things that happen but this time we will do something different," he added.
Washiali is said to be the defacto leader of the rebel western Kenya MPs and will lead them to the Kasarani Stadium for the Jubilee Party launch over the weekend.
Mudavadi has been powerless as MPs from his coalition have been the most that have jumped to Jubilee in recent months.
