MP dares Ababu to quit ODM
23 June 2016, 08:10
Nairobi - An ODM MP has told Budalang’i MP Ababu Namwamba that no one
threatens CORD leader Raila Odinga.
Junet Mohammed made the remarks while commenting on the move
by several western Kenya MPs to threaten to leave the party.
The MPs complained that they have been sidelined by Odinga
and ODM chairman John Mbadi in party affairs and would consider leaving if
things do not change.
Junet though, says that such issues are easily solved within
the party ranks and not via public forums, saying the threats to quit the party
amounted to zero work.
“The threats are not welcome. The reality is that the same
MPs who are threatening to leave the party have abandoned it for the last one
year,” he said.
He accused Ababu of trying to sabotage the party leadership
into giving into his warped demands.
“If the leaders have questions they know where to ask,” he
Ababu says that if the intimidation and frustration at ODM
continues, he will be forced to seek a new party in future.
