Mombasa court release three terror suspects linked to Mombasa police station attack

Mombasa - Mombasa court on Thursday declined an affidavit sworn in court to detain three terror suspects by police.
Mombasa senior principal magistrate Henry Nyakweba said presecution failed to give compelling reasons that linked three women to a terrorist group.
Nyakweba said prosecution did not name a terrorist group which suspects alleged to be member and their connection to central police attempted attack.
Nasteho Ali Thalil,Luul Ali Tahilil and Zamzam Abdi Abdullahi were arrested on 20th September at Majengo area in Mombasa County.
Suspects lawyer Jared Magolo had earlier opposed his clients detained,he said presecution only arrested suspects because they were classmates to one of the women killed during an attempted attack at central police station.
Nyakweba further said court only grand detention of suspects when there are compelling reasons,need to protect suspects from danger or if the suspect is already surving sentence in prison.
State counsil Erick Masila said he will appeal ruling by lawer court.
‘I don’t find reason to detain suspects’ Nyakweba said.
Four other suspects linked to central police attack are detained by police to allow investigations completed.
