Moi: KANU will not join Jubilee
20 September 2016, 10:55
Eldoret - KANU Chairman Gideon Moi has reiterated that his party will not join the newly launched Jubilee Party.
Moi said it is unfortunate that some people have been trying to force him to dissolve the party and join Jubilee Party.
“No one whatsoever will force me to join Jubilee even if he is the deputy president; does he think I am his wife for him to force me to join Jubilee?” Moi posed.
Speaking in Baringo, Moi said he has been angered by remarks that Tugens and Baringo county at large are a vote top-up, saying that he will ensure they raise their voting figures from 200,000 to 500,0000 to ensure they have a say in the next government.

“I am fed up with people referring to us as top-up votes. This time we will dictate our terms in government,” said Moi.
He said they won’t join Jubilee unless they fulfill their pledges.
He cited the sacking of senior government officers, youth unemployment and pathetic road networks which Jubilee had promised to address during the electioneering period.
"Am therefore calling upon Kenyans to get identity cards and thereafter register as voters for them to participate in the coming elections since its your vote that counts," he added.
He however urged politicians to maintain peace and stop uttering inflammatory statements meant to divide Kenyans in Political or tribal cocoons.
