Moi family praying hard for DP Ruto's ICC acquittal

23 March 2016, 22:47 Jackson Okata

Nairobi - Retired president Daniel Moi's family is praying hard that the International Criminal Court (ICC) will acquit deputy president William Ruto and Radio journalist Joshua Sang on the 5th of April.

Rongai MP Raymond Moi said that the family is hopeful that ICC judges will set Ruto and Sang free.

Moi said that the family has been praying for the release of the two and God is almost answering their prayer.

"Mzee (Moi) has been leading the family in prayer asking God to set the two sons of the kalenjin free and we will be the happiest family when that happens,"said Moi.

The MP dismissed claims that the Moi family is praying that ICC locks up DP Ruto so that they can benefit politically.

'It's not right that the Moi family is happy about the troubles of Ruto in fact as a family we have stood with him and supported him immensely from the start of the ICC cases," he said He said the Moi family will rejoice together with Ruto the day ICC will set him free.
