Kenyans across the social media have faulted and commended Prophet David Owuor for his mega arrival and show of might by hiring 6 hotels while his followers are spending nights in the cold at an open ground.

The move elicited varied reactions from Nakuru residents who took to the social media to express their feelings.

Joe Ngugi a, a Media practitioner in his social media page wrote “Informed sources say Prophet Owour has booked all rooms and each and every space in the hotel. You can calculate the millions in cost at your own free time.”

Njora Wanjora expressed his displeasure questioning how the Prophet was being referred to man of God with all that show of mighty adding that Jesus Christ was not accorded such classy things and security.

Six hotels in Nakuru had been booked to accommodate those who that were accompanying Prophet Owuor.

Merica a Four Star Hotel had sent a public notice to all its customers notifying them that the hotel will not be accessible from Friday to Monday.

Njeri Waweru commented that, this move is called religious tourism and should be encouraged.

“Kenyans love and honour for Servants of God, Am happy for all the hoteliers enjoying a boom this week. I think this kind of "religious tourism” (forgive me for lack of any other alternative way to call it) bringing people from all over the country should be encouraged.
