Nairobi - Nairobi Senator, Mike Sonko caused a stir at a funeral service in Machakos when he said he was the ‘acting President.’
"Rais Uhuru is in Togo, Deputy President William Ruto is in France. I am number three in command politically influence-wise and socially… I am now the acting president of the republic of Kenya," he said.
Sonko, who had been tasked with reading the President’s speech during the burial of Wavinya Ndeti’s husband, even charged at the master of ceremony and rained insulting on the mourners.
When the bereaved former Kathiani MP finally intervened, Sonko calmed down but not without a punch: "Musituletee...Taka taka nyinyi ... ghasia nyinyi… (don't dare us..you are garbage),’” he shouts.
His remarks angered Kenyans who told him to grow up.
"#GrowUpSonko when you put a monkey in a suit, does it seize to become a monkey?" posed The Peculiar Teacher.
"@MikeSonko can't be salvaged , its confirmed he was drunk with illicit stuff
#GrowUpSonko," posted Fredrick Kavoo.
"His mouth is faster than his mind! #GrowUpSonko," said Bernard Lewella.
"Sonko Must be taken to Mathari hospital for a mental check-up . Seems what he has been smoking has messed up with him #GrowUpSonko," said Cyprian Nyakundi.
