MCAs condemned for fighting Governor

30 May 2016, 17:04 Joseph Njung'eh

Nyeri - A political analyst, Ngunjiri Wambugu has condemned Nyeri members of the County Assembly (MCAs) for fighting Governor Nderitu Gachagua over management of public funds.

Wambugu said the elected leaders should spearhead development in their areas of jurisdiction instead of engaging in war of words.

“In my area Nyeri town constituency, it is only two MCAs fighting the Governor. The other three are in support of his development activities which is the best decision,” said Wambugu who is also working as a political consultant in the President’s Office.

He was speaking during the second anniversary and unveiling of the cross of Governor Gachagua’s father, Nahashon Gachagua Reriani, at Ngorano village in Mathira.

Wambugu further claimed that former Governor Gachagua’s political adviser is maligning the Governor’s name and misleading the public.

He vowed to counter him.
