Nairobi - A matatu has caught fire along Nairobi's Waiyaki Way.
The Tulaga Manyanga bus caught fire on its carrier after luggage which had been placed on the top combusted.
It is not known what the cause of the fire was.
The driver and conductor of the 33 seater matatu could be seen frantically trying to put it off, which they succeeded.
No one was injured in the 1.30 PM incident.
" We just saw the luggage on top go on fire and quickly alerted the driver to stop," James Ongonji a motorcycle rider told News24.
Police at the scene were forced to work over time to clear the huge traffic jam that had formed as a result.
" There was a fire but it has been cleared and everyone is okay," a traffic policemen who did not want to be named told News24.
