Nairobi - Mandera Senator Billow Kerrow has been arrested by Flying Squad officers at the Wilson Airport.
The Senator was picked up by the officers on arrival from Mandera where he had spent the last four days. He was taken to the CID headquarters in Nairobi.
He was accompanied by 5 other MPs from the region, who were also arrested.
The Senator and MPs have been arrested over comments made over mass graves in Mandera where they even accused the government of extra judicial killings.
Kerrow claimed that there were several mass graves in the region after the discovery of the body of a woman buried in a shallow grave on Monday.
However, on digging up of the said sites, no bodies were found, leaving him and other leaders in a tricky position.
Interior CS Joseph Nkaissery had asked Kerrow to apologize, which he did Thursday morning but that has not stopped Police from still picking him up for questioning.
