Man shot dead by unknown assailants in Butere.

Kakamega - One man was shot dead by unknown assailants at Eshirembe village Butere Sub County in Kakamega County on his way to a hunting spree.
The incident has caused fear in the sleepy village with locals calling on the police to investigate and arrest the killer gang that has been terrorizing them for the last three months.
According to the deceased wife, her husband received a phone call at 5 am from his friends whom she did not know asking him to join them on their routine daily work of hunting wild animals.
“My husband received a phone call at around from one of his friends whom I did not know asking him to join them in a hunting spree of wild animals as always. He walked out of bed prepared himself and left.” She said
She added that she heard a gunshot just a few metres from their matrimonial home but she did not think that it could be her husband that had been shot.
Eshirembe Location Chief Aggrey Makokha said the deceased Javan Moi Inganga, 36 was found dead while his hunting dogs lying beside him with a bag that contained his hunting tools.
The bullets remains were taken by police officers to Kakamega for investigation to identify the type of a killer rifle that was used.
Body of the deceased was taken to Mumias sub County hospital mortuary for preservatio
