Kampala - Police in the central Uganda district of Masaka have arrested a man who reportedly used a sharp knife to pierce his wife's private parts.
Frank Nsereko 40, a resident of Namirembe village in Masaka District committed the offence Thursday night on his wife Syadat Nakasaga 31.
According to the officer in charge of Masaka police, Steven Semanda, it is likely that Nsereko was under the influence of alcohol and drugs when he committed the offence.
" Our men rushed to Nsereko's home after a neighbour called us when he saw Nsereko beating his woman severely and using a knife to cut her private parts," said Semanda.
According to one of the neighbours Damali Ntabadde, Nsereko is a fisherman who works a distance away from his home. He takes a few days to come back home.
" When Nsereko returned yesterday, he found his wife seated with another man in his house. The man fled and he pounced on his wife and started beating her before he cut her private parts in presence of people," said Ntabadde.
Nakasaga admitted that she was seated with the man but he is a mere friend but not a lover.
Nsereko on the other hand admits that he did whatever he did out of anger after finding a man with his wife.
He is soon to appear in court to be charged with causing bodily harm to his wife. Nakasaga has been admitted in hospital.
